My name is Mrs. Townsend-Pattee. In the near future, I hope to become a second grade teacher in Caldwell, Idaho. I can't wait to complete my education and get started. I would like to help students become very familiar with using technology for learning. I really want to show my students how to be safe when using the Internet for research. In the past, I was very concerned about privacy and other cyber dangers. I have discovered how to protect myself and my students and look forward to sharing that information with them.
I have recently been using Inspiration 9 to develop concept maps. I really enjoy creating concept maps because they bring basic lesson plans to life. There is a monthly fee to use Inspiration 9. I have not purchased it yet, but I know I will be a customer once I complete my education.
I think the use of blogging will be a great addition to the classroom. I plan to use them to let students write about what is going in recent projects, books they are reading, etc. Blogging will allow the students to have a creative release and a way to express themselves.
